Sanctuary - Pavor Nocturnus

Even though I know the Will character is supposed to be the lead male he always felt like a very distant third to Magnus and Ashley.  As such he felt more like part of the supporting ensemble.  This episode though, I am starting to feel the pride Magnus has in her protege and their relationship is starting to grow on me.

All in all a good but somewhat predictable episode.  I knew from pretty early on Magnus was going to find that she had somehow caused all this and when she was looking through the patient files I not only knew she would find one of her team among the pictures, I knew it would be Henry.  The other plot devise that I called I was only partially right about.  I knew Will was going to get infected and be willing to die but I thought Magnus was going to find the cure just in time to save him

Sanctuary season 2 End of Nights part 2

I love the angst that Helen is going through with this Evil Ashley problem. It really brings out her emotional side and I just love seeing someone supremely rational struggle with uncontrollable emotions.

the super Ashley triplets pounding on the door like kids throwing a temper tantrum just cracked me up. sorta took me out of the moment and made me snicker.

so how did the 4th super Ashley kid sense the invisible girl? telepathy? heightened sense of smell/hearing? cosmis link between abnormals? her death was just not that impactful to me.

Helen's conversation with the bigfoot guy... I like that the person she seems to feel closest to, the person she connects best with is bigfoot. her "compromise is for the weak" speech and then it ending with the "i've been wrong all along" i dont entirely see what her thinking is here. What compromise has she been struggling against that she's decided to give in to now? I feel like up until now, she's been struggling FOR compromise, disabling Ashley without killing her. saving Ashley AND saving the Sanctuary - and she is finally resolving herself to the fact that she cant compromise and must instead pick a side. Kill Ashley and save the Sanctuary.

Helen & Will on the tower top (i love this set, I hope they continue to use it as their quiet conversation setting) I love the historic references. they are so much more poetic than modernity. Why does Helen think she has to be the one to kill Ashley? She hesitates time and time again during the fight when confronted with shooting that thing at Ashley. But that last conversation. GAH! such a heartbreaker! her showing that kind of vulnerability "Ashley I'm afriad" oh it KILLED me! and then the look and the "Mom" and then her sacrificing herself by teleporting with the EM shield up and Helen just sitting in the floor sobbing. I feel like I've been punched in the stomach.

Sanctuary season 2 premiere

I don't like the new filming format they seem to be trying. its very "24" with the little multiple window transition things. I hope it doesnt last very long.

ANGRY Mama Magnus is awesome! she looks just beautiful in that first scene and that fire burning in her eyes is all ... me-ow! and then later when shes interrogating the mercenary chick - wow!

I like that Druitt is trying to help find Ashley and be a Dad but I hope he and Helen don't get romantically involved.

Invisible girlfriend is just not doing it for me.

Ashley's creepy Dr Frankenstein lady is totally weirding me out! but evil Ashley does have a pretty hot wet-suit thing. and that end fight scene with Evil Ashley - whoa! poor Helen! but did i catch a breif glimpse of recognition of Ashley's face or is that just wishful thinking?
